About Us

Jorge and Valerie Llauro founded WALKING STRONG in 2014, with the fierce determination to make their son, Alexander, and other Duchenne boys – the first ever survivors of Duchenne. Through the Assistance Program, they help Duchenne families from around the country with medical devices, handicap accessible vans, canine companions and one-on-one mental wellness support.
